In fact I always feel embarrassed that he is very chaotic and rough and overly excited because he seems to really like the vet in general and everyone who works here makes me feel like the weird one for feeling embarrassed or stressed. Zeus comes here for all his checkups, has had a benign tumor removed, has had his teeth cleaned here, his nails trimmed, and gets his allergy shot once a month so we come quite often and i have never had issues with Zeus being injured, mistreated, lost, or anything else. I will probably never go to any other vet clinic as long as i live in San Antonio with the exception of Acres North sister clinic with whom I’ve had an interaction one time and that went very smoothly.As far as pricing, my understanding at this point is that pets are expensive and luckily with my pet insurance the upfront cost is reimbursed somewhat. He had fear and socialization issues, and the staff was phenomenal with him. He bonded with one of the vet techs and that tech worked with him the entire day to make sure he was less afraid. This is not only crucial but says so much about their staff, knowing this dog had a neglectful past and they wanted to make his vet experiences positive. So first and foremost, THANK YOU for that.Second, I have a diabetic cat that we have been unable to regulate with our previous vet for the past 2 months. I called Acres North to see if I could get a next day appointment, and Dr. Crowley actually said he should come in right away and they will fit him in. I am SO thankful for this, as he is still not only unregulated, but he had a fever, active infection, dehydration, and elevated liver enzymes. Dr. Crowley called me the next morning to discuss bloodwork and see how my cat is doing as well. Several options for his treatment were laid out, and he took my cat's condition very seriously, whereas my previous vet unfortunately had not taken this type of approach.To say I appreciate this hospital and their staff is a massive understatement. From their receptionists being friendly, their practice manager being kind and helpful, to their techs and assistants taking care of your pets like their own, and to the vets putting patient health at the top of their priorities... We found some odd concerning warts on her belly that Dr. Crowley suggested might be a form of skin cancer. Dr. Crowley immediately addressed the issue, ordered labs and pathology, rapidly arranged for surgical removal, and was aggressive about removing as many of the warts as possible. She had several, so mid-procedure, Dr. Crowley took them all off, even though it meant a nasty zippy surgical scar. We are now about two months post-op and Luca is doing great. Her pathology returned normal results. Her scar healed beautifully. I am so thankful for his aggressive approach to her surgery. Dr. Crowley educated me about the risk of skin cancer in dogs and cautioned me to use baby sunscreen on Luca. If you ever find yourself facing a health crisis with your beloved dog companion, I suggest you connect to Dr. Crowley. His calming and compassionate guidance was so helpful.
