Surgery

Pet Surgery in San Antonio, TX

At Acres North Animal Clinic, our veterinary team offers a wide range of surgical procedures to help keep your pet healthy and comfortable. Surgeries are performed by appointment, several times per week..

In addition to routine procedures such as spays, neuters, and mass removals, we perform:

  • Tumor removals
  • Laceration repairs
  • Amputations
  • Aural hematoma repairs
  • Foreign body retrieval

Before any procedure, a pre-operative exam and bloodwork are required to ensure your pet is healthy enough for anesthesia and surgery.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Soft tissue surgeries are procedures not involving bones and can address many common health issues in pets.

One of the most frequent soft tissue surgeries we perform is mass removal. While most lumps are benign (non-cancerous), early removal and testing help ensure the best outcome if the mass is cancerous.

We can also perform surgical procedures to help reduce chronic ear infections by improving airflow to the ear canal, enhancing your pet’s comfort and long-term ear health.

Certain eye-related procedures, such as eye (enucleation) surgery, may be performed when necessary to relieve pain or address severe eye disease or trauma. We do not perform advanced ophthalmic surgeries and may refer you to a trusted veterinary ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.
