During your pet’s first visit, our veterinarians will perform a comprehensive physical exam, assessing your pet from head to tail. This includes looking at their eyes, limbs, ears, teeth, heart and lungs, as well as their overall appearance, like how they’re walking.

Because your pet is new to us, we may ask questions about your pet’s daily routines, eating habits, lifestyle and more. This will help provide a baseline for future exams to ensure we catch any behavioral and medical changes early.

We highly recommend putting together a medical diary for your pet if you don’t already have one and bringing it to your first visit. Record details like vaccinations, any changes in behavior or diet, and even bathroom habits. These notes can be helpful during visits and may provide insights into test results.
